5 Down 10 To Go

First weekend of One Flew Over the Cookoo’s Nest has passed. We had very small audiences to midsized audiences, talkers and laughers (those who do that in excess). We did have lots of great audience feed back as well as people leaving. One person who left who left said they had an autistic son and our play hit too close to home. There were a lot of good comments from audience members. Two more weekends to go.

Outside of the play, I did get accepted to the 2009 Atlanta Unifieds. All hearsay is that there are 250 slots for the 2 days and over 350 people applied. Two people I know did not get accepted and 4 of Pat Hurley’s students at the Alliance did not get accepted. I really wonder what the acceptance criteria was and what the real number of people who applied was.

What I Did On 2009-02-09

  • Good monologue session with Pat Hurley on Sunday. Nearly ready for Wednesdays audition for “A Sunday Afternoon at Loehmann’s”. #
  • Did not realize, that next Monday is a company holiday. It’s Presidents Day. Holidays are the curse of the contractor. No work, no pay, darn #
  • Got selection D4 out of the snack machine… what?… OK FINE! I got chocolate cookies to have with my green tea! Happy now? Hope so. yummy. #

What I Did On 2009-02-02

  • Well, it’s a Monday. This week we are off book for “One Flew Over the Cookoo’s Nest”. And I have several monologues to memorize for Sunday. #
  • Actually the monologues are for an audition on the 11th. Sunday is private sessions with Pat Hurley to rehearse the monologues. #
  • Listening to “Death Cab for Cutie”. Good stuff. Never heard of them before today. Found out about them via a Facebook invite. #

What I Did On 2009-01-14

  • Well, I was stressed, injected with a die of sorts, heart xrayed (twice) and echoed. Results tomorrow unless something was “Red”, then today #
  • @StoutT went with me. She had to sit in the waiting room for, lets see 6:15 to 8:15, umm, two hours. Iz haz edumication. in reply to StoutT #
  • No rehearsal tonight with @the_brian_jones, so I can go to the Gwinnett Gladiators hockey game tonight. #
  • Got off the phone with Pat Hurley at the Alliance Theatre. Will start private sessions with monologues, to prepare for the Atlanta Unifieds. #

What I Did On 2009-01-06

  • OK. My misunderstanding. It was a consultation for a heart stress test. I may not have issues because I was on steroids at the time. #
  • Still doing a stress and echo next Wednesday. Cardiologist told me to reduce medication if not off all together. I will reduce and monitor. #
  • Looking at the kittens and cats available for adoption at Furkids.org. I wish I could help them all. #
  • @ActorNation Sorry to hear of any cats being abandoned. I am a cat person through-and-through. Have 5, I do. in reply to ActorNation #
  • Still have not heard if I need to do a voice over tonight or if I am free to go to an audition. Audition tonight means @gwtgladiators thurs. #
