Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf? is a story centered around two couples. The principal cast includes two (2) males and two (2) females. The descriptions for each part are below. We encourage you to arrive early for auditions to sign in. For auditions you will need to complete an audition packet, available when you sign in to audition. A headshot and resume is not required, but is appreciated. If you do not have a professional headshot, any recent photo is helpful. A one minute monologue is optional, and will be seen first before cold readings from the script with other auditioners.

Martha – 40ish to 60, female – woman with a boisterous, overbearing personality to get what she wants and protect whatever she’s hiding beneath it.

George – 40ish to late 50s, male – Martha’s husband and it shows. A history professor at a small NE university, he should have been head of the department by now, especially since Martha’s father is the president of the university. Or maybe that’s the problem.

Nick – Late 20s – 30s, male – young, strong, handsome and blond, he is the future and he knows it. Nick is rubbing elbows with the old guard, seeing who he’ll use and who he’ll climb over but doesn’t realize what he’s getting himself into.

Honey – Mid 20s – 30s, female – Nick’s “little wifey.” She drinks far too much, probably because every time she lifts her head out of the bottle she can see what’s going on around her.
